I believe that our final transitions deserve the same profound intention, fierce advocacy, and beautiful orchestration as our beginnings.
My journey into death care and legacy curation began with a profound personal loss. When both of my grandmothers passed away within six weeks of each other, I intimately witnessed the overwhelming labyrinth of grief and logistics that a family must navigate. I watched as heartbreaking, rushed decisions were made amidst the chaos of endless choices, from eulogies and prayers to caskets and catering. In the exhaustion of the process, deeply held wishes were overlooked in favor of standard traditions.
The funeral service was designed to memorialize their death, but I kept asking myself: what about the celebration of their life?
At the time, I was working as a professional Event and Meeting Planner, orchestrating everything from large-scale medical device conferences to bespoke weddings. I realized there was a desperate need for a service that could lift the heavy logistical burden off grieving families, allowing them to simply be present, mourn, and share stories.
For the next seven years, I poured myself into building that vision. In 2021, Celebration of Life, Colorado was officially born.
Today, my mission goes far beyond event planning. I have intentionally evolved my practice to bridge the gap between flawless logistical execution and deep, holistic end-of-life care. I hold a Master of Science (M.S.) in Thanatology, a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Hospitality, Tourism, and Events, and am a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP). As a Certified End-of-Life Doula, I walk alongside my clients on the living-to-dying spectrum, offering trauma-informed support, somatic grounding, and fiercely client-centered advocacy.
My mission is simple: to protect your peace, honor your authentic legacy, and curate a beautiful farewell with absolute dignity and humanity.
The Meaning Behind Our Motif
As a Thanatologist, I intentionally chose the cherry blossom as the signature motif for Celebration of Life, Colorado. To me, this delicate flower profoundly represents the beauty and fragility of life. The cherry blossom blooms brilliantly but briefly, serving as a powerful, beautiful reminder of the fleeting and precious nature of life. It reminds us to be fully present with our grief, to honor the legacies we leave behind, and to navigate our final transitions with profound peace.
Featured In: As a testament to the heart behind this work, I was honored to be featured in the Boss Babes magazine series by Rachel Sorbet Portraiture, highlighting female entrepreneurs and changemakers in our community.

CERTIFIED END-OF-LIFE DOULA (DEATH DOULA)
“I believe that death, much like birth, deserves a planned, peaceful, and supported environment. My work is to ensure that the sacred transition is met with the humanity it deserves"

The Approach
"My background in hospitality isn't just about events; it's about the radical act of caring for others. When we combine that with the clinical understanding of thanatology, we create a space where families can focus on what truly matters: the person they love."
Grounding in the Present
Christina is currently in training to become a certified breathwork facilitator, an extension of her commitment to somatic support. She integrates calming tools like custom-blended essential oils and oracle cards to help clients and families navigate the profound emotional landscape of the end-of-life journey.

OUR REFLECTION
THE MEANING BEHIND THE MOTIF
As a Thanatologist and Certified End-of-Life Doula, I intentionally chose the cherry blossom as the signature motif for Celebration of Life, Colorado. To me, this delicate flower profoundly represents the beauty and fragility of life. The cherry blossom blooms brilliantly but briefly, serving as a powerful, beautiful reminder of the fleeting and precious nature of life. In end-of-life work, we hold space for the profound realities of the living-to-dying spectrum. The cherry blossom represents the beauty of a life well-lived and the natural cycle of renewal. It reminds us to be fully present with our grief, to honor the legacies we leave behind, and to navigate our final transitions with dignity, humanity, and profound peace.
